The Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences is the largest Czech institution focused on both experimental and theoretical fundamental research in the field of nuclear physics. Four accelerators are the main infrastructures of the institute. Neutron sources based on two cyclotrons owned by the institute are used for studies of neutron reactions important for fusion. Nuclear analytical methods and neutron diffraction and scattering are also used for fusion material studies.
